Night before last I heard It in the attic, scratching. I told Daddy.
He shrugged, "House noises."
Yesterday, It slithered to the closet. I told Daddy.
He frowned, "Imagination."
This morning, It moved into the cellar, growling low. I didn't tell Daddy.
Daddy lugged a box into the cellar. Wonder if he'll believe me now.
