A little anxiety.
Now a little more.
Sweat drops on the brow.
Hands go moist.
Heartbeat is obvious.
Mouth is dry.
Swallowing hard.
Biting the lower lip.
Chewing on fingernails.
Heartbeat increases.
Twisting hair.
Sigh and sigh again.
Cheeks begin to flush.
Heartbeat settles in the throat.
Eyes grow moist.
Staring at the blank page.
Be sure to visit Galen at G-Man, Mr. Know It All, if you have written a Friday Flash 55 story that you would like to share (see side bar). Have an incredible weekend. Be inquisitive. Donnetta

A wild 55 out of whole cloth--or nothing at all, and, voila, a 55er!
Heh heh. Blank paper/screen syndrome.
Starvation.
Gasping for air.
I am not a genius, but I've heard it said that genius steals, while mere talent borrows.
"Cleverly disguise it so it ain't been heard before?"
There is an entire Googleful of memorable quotes out there in the back of our minds.
I usually pick one.
Start with the quote and say that that was the quote got you thinking.
...But in my case, somebody once wrote in, "Hey, there's another a--hole in Toronto who thinks he's Franz Kafka."
Oh well. We try. We really try.
Ivan: Let's all turn into insects. Get a buzz on. (Good advice.) D
Heh. But I'm kinda heavy, and fall off the ceiling all the time. Oops! :)
Ivan: Watch out for giant fly swatters. D
